As a Senior iOS Software Engineer on this team, you'll play a crucial role in providing Cash App customers reliable, easy, and secure access to their accounts.

The job involves building, owning, and improving experiences and platforms primarily around Access, and flexing into other areas of Trust as needed. Access owns login, signup, account recovery, account security, and accounts overall. More broadly, Trust owns identity verification, limits, eligibility safeguards, transfers, and scam protection among other areas. These experiences and platforms are pivotal to Cash App customers as we strive towards economic empowerment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Building end-to-end features of the app: networking, persistence, business logic, and UI
  • Crafting durable, well-tested code with an unwavering commitment to product quality
  • Re-architecting legacy code and prepping it to scale for the future of the product and the team
  • Partnering with Android and backend developers as well as design, product, and data science on delivering remarkable solutions
  • Having a meaningful impact on the future of the Cash product

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience leading projects (e.g., building or improving customer experiences, product resiliency, or backend integrations)
  • Experience creating readable, well-crafted, and maintainable code
  • Experience voicing customer feedback into product solutions (engineering makes substantive contributions to product definition)
  • A commitment to growing together (yourself, your teammates, your software)

Square takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The estimated salary for this position is between $163,600 - $245,400 per year, dependent on your location within these zones.
