A Challenging Role Awaits You

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Software System Architect to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of our platform, driving growth, and ensuring seamless scale. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing best practices, championing coding standards, and designing robust APIs.

Core Responsibilities

  • System Operations: Dive deep into our existing platform and architecture to gain a thorough understanding of its components, functionalities, and dependencies.
  • Operational Improvements: Identify and implement improvements in system monitoring, alerting, performance, and reliability.
  • Architecture Evolution: Plan and execute architectural changes to support new features, increased scale, and evolving business requirements.
  • Best Practices: Champion architectural best practices, coding standards, and design patterns across the development team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product management, and stakeholders to align architectural decisions with business goals.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies and architectural patterns to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a software development role.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud Datastore, etc.).
  • Expertise in designing robust and intuitive application programming interfaces (APIs).
  • Strong proficiency in Java.
  • Experience with front-end web technologies like Vue.js and mobile development with React Native.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong general sports knowledge, especially major North American sports.
