Cash App is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team, focusing on automation and tooling initiatives that drive product quality and engineering efficiency.

Role Overview

As a key member of our Release and Quality organization, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to expand our test automation coverage and deliver reliable products to our customers.

You will be responsible for strategically implementing and independently owning the development of release, automation, and tooling features, as well as designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts using tools such as Espresso, Swift, XCUITest, Bazel, Gradle, Jenkins, Buildkite, GCP, Docker, LaunchDarkly, DataDog, Postman, Charles Proxy, Android Studio, XCode, iOS/Android simulator/emulator
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering teams, to refine our regression testing suites, add and maintain automated tests across various product areas, and engage in code reviews to ensure testability and adherence to quality standards
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the team, stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies, and continually enhance testing strategies and tools
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or a similar role
  • Test Automation Expertise: Deep understanding of test automation, release process, CI/CD tools, development environments, and automation frameworks
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to rapidly learn new technologies and lead complex and ambiguous problems requiring collaboration across engineering team boundaries
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a market-based approach to pay, taking into account job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 - $220,000 CAD per year, depending on your location, with options for advancement and professional growth within the company.
