Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Freshco. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of our produce department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of produce staff, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
- Assign sales workers to duties, including receiving, stocking, and displaying produce.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights to management.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and inventory management.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a produce department or related field.
- Permanent employment with 30 to 40 hours per week.
- English language proficiency.
Freshco is a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ideal candidate will have efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and a team player attitude.
