Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Freshco. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our produce department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of produce staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Assign sales workers to duties, ensuring that the produce department is adequately staffed and that customers receive prompt and courteous service.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Establish and maintain work schedules, ensuring that the produce department is adequately staffed at all times.
- Prepare and submit reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing valuable insights to management.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that our produce department is well-stocked and that products are rotated regularly.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of office and volunteer staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a produce department or related field.
- Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Fluency in English.
The produce department is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and will be able to handle heavy loads.
