About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Artistic Landscaping Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscaping projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead and manage a team of landscapers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to complete projects efficiently.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for our clients' properties, including lawn care, pruning, and other landscaping tasks.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, estimate labour and material costs, and develop detailed project plans.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they are built to code and meet our high standards.
  • Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate and supervise the installation of plants, trees, and other landscaping features, ensuring they are installed correctly and meet our quality standards.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of project progress, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues that arise.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret and understand project plans, ensuring that all work is completed according to specifications.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Source and procure the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to complete projects efficiently.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues that arise during projects, provide technical guidance to team members, and suggest improvements to increase productivity and quality.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Landscaping Supervisor who is passionate about delivering exceptional results. You will have a strong background in landscaping, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Hot
  • Area of Specialization: Landscape Construction
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
