Operations Director

The Canadian Mental Health Association Mid-Island is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our management team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the organization's operational strategy and ensuring the effective management of our programs and services.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to direct the organization's business in accordance with all legislation, regulations, bylaws, and policies.
- Develop and oversee the board-approved annual budget.
- Ensure that legislative, licensing, accreditation, and insurance requirements are maintained.
- Human Resources Management
- Support a positive, healthy, and safe work environment.
- Ensure staffing requirements are met through the entire staff lifecycle, from role development, hiring, orientation, performance evaluation, and management.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with CMHA Mid-Island's mission, vision, and values that promote equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
- Programs and Services
- Identify service needs within the community and advise the Executive Director and Programs Director on opportunities for program expansion.
- Community Relations
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with community groups, government agencies, funders, politicians, and other organizations to achieve common goals.
- Promote CMHA Mid-Island programs and services in the community.
- Act as an advocate for destigmatizing marginalized populations.
- Act as an advocate for social justice within the organization, for service users, in the community, and at the political level.

- An appropriate combination of experience and education. Lived experience is a qualifying experience for this role.

- Compensation and Benefits
- Guided by the salary range schedule for executive, management and excluded employees provided by the Health Employers Association of BC.
- Range 11: $97,209 - $139,738.
