Data Quality and Operations Director

Job Summary:
The Data Quality and Operations Director will play a key role in enhancing teamwork and facilitating continuous quality improvement of services at Island Health. This position will work closely with the Executive Medical Director and other medical leaders to implement processes and structures that engage physicians and staff in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement processes and structures to engage physicians and staff in continuous quality improvement of service delivery.
- Monitor team budget and performance jointly with the Co-Leader, and make course corrections when necessary.
- Act as change management 'champion' to engage and support physicians and staff through change.
- Lead team activities that advance technology and data use to improve service delivery using the electronic health records (EHR) in collaboration with the Quality Systems team.
- Assess, monitor and anticipate team resource needs and work with medical leaders and administrative leaders to prioritize these needs within available resources.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Ability to implement and manage change.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and electronic health records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
