Head Chef for Restaurant Team

EAT BKK THAI KITCHEN (Bloor) is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring the highest quality of dishes are served to our customers.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Thai cuisine and menu development. You will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and implementing food safety protocols. Your attention to detail and ability to work under pressure will ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Organize buffets and banquets
- Manage kitchen operations
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen
- Strong knowledge of Thai cuisine and menu development
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of quality
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
