Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Iron Horse Rentals Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate straight trucks (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles) to transport goods and materials.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide excellent oral and written communication.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability, team player, and hardworking.
  • License: Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks.
  • Work Environment: Local, provincial/territorial, and short-haul transportation.
