Division Head of Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology

The Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA) invites applications for the position of Division Head of Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, The Ottawa Hospital (TOH).

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide leadership for the Division of Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology at TOH, with primary overall responsibility for clinical service and academic mandate. They will work closely with the Medical Head of EORLA and the Department Head of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine within the EORLA member hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for the Division of Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology at TOH
  • Work closely with the Medical Head of EORLA and the Department Head of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
  • Participate in TOH Anatomical Pathology service and call
  • Contribute to the academic mission of TOH and University of Ottawa
  • Support research opportunities through The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and University of Ottawa Research Network
Requirements
  • MD degree and licensure in the province of Ontario
  • Fellow in Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada
  • Previous progressive leadership experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and interact with diverse individuals and teams
