Responsibilities- Perform underwater inspections, searches, salvage, repair, and photography using specialized equipment.
- Train or assist in the training of other workers on underwater operations and safety protocols.
- Supervise staff members during underwater operations and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Evaluate curriculum programs and recommend improvements for underwater operations and training.
- Troubleshoot problems related to equipment used in underwater operations.
- Organize and maintain procedures for record-keeping and documentation of underwater operations.
- Evaluate user feedback and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Coordinate projects and programs related to underwater operations.
- A commercial diver's license and relevant certifications such as First Aid and WHMIS.
- Experience with underwater recording equipment and area of specialization in hydraulic, underwater photography, and underwater survey.
- Criminal record check and ability to work in a remote location.
- Ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and physical capabilities to perform tasks in a wet/damp environment.
- Excellent oral communication skills, accuracy, organization, and teamwork.
- Health care plan and group insurance benefits.
- Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Provides cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
