About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to maintain and upkeep our Calvert Island facility's buildings and grounds. As a small organization operating in a remote area, our resources are limited. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt to changing circumstances and possess strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Proactive maintenance of critical systems (generators, solar array, water treatment, boilers, septic) to minimize the need for emergency repairs.
  2. Communicate and work collaboratively with off-site facilities manager to ensure the site has necessary resources to function effectively.

Requirements:

  • Formal education in technical or trades training is preferred but not required.
  • Flexible and resourceful, with the ability to learn and integrate new technologies.
  • Proficient in computer applications to communicate, diagnose, and solve problems.
  • Comfortable working in remote locations in varying weather conditions.
