Job Title: Project Manager - Land Development

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Halifax, NS. As a key member of our Operations Group, you will be responsible for managing land development projects from design to construction, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all land development projects from design to construction, including preliminary engineering, detailed infrastructure designs, and construction management.
  • Develop and manage cost estimates, construction contracts, and construction budgets.
  • Lead and coordinate project staff, including Project Engineers, Coordinators, and Designers.
  • Coordinate and work concurrently with consultants on engineering designs, including Civil, Geotechnical, Transportation, and other disciplines.
  • Perform miscellaneous CAD tasks, including site plans, schematics, and detailed designs.
  • Participate in internal and external business development opportunities to help grow the company.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering from a recognized university, preferably with an emphasis on Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Infrastructure Development.
  • P.Eng designation with 6 to 8 years' progressive experience in municipal engineering design and construction management in the land development industry.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team of professionals in the design and construction of projects.
  • Ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in water and sewer design, stormwater management design, site grading, and road design, as well as a working knowledge of site development designs and subdivision policies.
  • Experience in contract administration and construction management is vital for this role.
  • Experience using Auto Cad Civil 3D and project management tools, with experience in construction management software such as Pro-core being an asset.
