Job Summary
The successful candidate will have a strong background in land development, with experience in managing projects from design to construction. You will be responsible for managing a team of professionals, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all land development projects from design to construction
- Manage subdivision applications and engineering approvals with regulatory review agencies
- Develop and manage cost estimates, construction contracts, and construction budgets
- Lead and coordinate project staff, including Project Engineers, Coordinators, and Designers
- Coordinate with consultants on engineering designs and construction management
- Perform miscellaneous CAD tasks, including site plans, schematics, and detailed designs
- Assist the Safety Officer and Environmental Officer to ensure compliance with legislation
- Participate in internal and external business development opportunities to help grow the company
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering from a recognized university, preferably with emphasis on civil engineering, construction management, and infrastructure development
- P.Eng designation with 6 to 8 years' progressive experience in municipal engineering design and construction management in the land development industry
- Experience in managing and leading a team of professionals in the design and construction of projects
- Ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in water and sewer design, stormwater management design, site grading, and road design
- Experience in contract administration and construction management
- Experience using Auto Cad Civil 3D and project management tools
- Strong team leadership skills in an entrepreneurial environment
- Highly driven and motivated, with a goal-oriented approach
- Strong technical experience grounded in a business mindset, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Driver's License with the ability to travel autonomously to different sites
