At Onico Solutions, we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to provide strategic business analysis services to our business partners. This role will be key to understanding the capabilities needed to address business challenges in our client's Mortgage Loans Originations process.

About the Role

This is a minimum 8 month contract with a possible extension. You will work closely with our business units to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which our business operates. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in documenting business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological requirements and risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review with business partner and document business processes to identify and address operational, financial and technological requirements and risks.
  • Document requirements, specifications, data mapping, business rules and make recommendations to improve proposed solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with business partners to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management or technical team.
  • Document workflows and perform process mapping, results of business analysis and requirement gathering, obtain sign-off from business on the business requirement documentation.
  • Support user acceptance testing in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results.
  • Adhere to existing processes/standards including the system development life cycle and project management methodology, architecture and escalate issues if necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects.
  • Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Project manager or Application manager.
Requirements
  • 6+ years' experience as business systems analyst/business analyst.
  • 4+ years' experience in financial industry is required.
  • 2+ years of experience with data workflows – data mapping, process mapping.
  • Experience in Loan Origination for Mortgages.
  • Certified Business Analyst Profession (CBAP).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Time management, highly organized, work independently.
  • Strategic/forward thinking.

  • Interpersonal relationship building.
  • Communication (verbal and written) – excellent.
  • Conflict resolution.
  • Multi-tasking in fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as additional benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Location

This position is based in downtown Toronto and can be worked remotely or in a hybrid setup.
