Drive Digital Transformation as a Strategic E-Commerce Solutions Lead

Tidal Commerce Inc., a leading tech consulting agency, is expanding its team of experts. We're seeking an experienced Strategic E-Commerce Solutions Lead to spearhead our client service teams in designing and delivering top-notch e-commerce strategies and solutions.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with previous experience as a manager in technology or management consulting. As a key leader of our consulting service line, you will directly report to the practice leader and be responsible for the successful execution of client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead the design and delivery of high-impact e-commerce strategies and solutions that align with client business goals and drive digital transformation.
  • Client Digital Roadmaps: Collaborate with clients to define and implement long-term digital roadmaps, ensuring their business strategies are supported by scalable and future-proof technology solutions.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies into project delivery to ensure clients remain competitive in their markets.
  • Business Value Creation: Translate client objectives into actionable project plans that maximize ROI and business outcomes, ensuring that each project contributes meaningfully to the client's long-term success.
  • Cross-functional Team Leadership: Oversee and inspire multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration between business analysts, technical experts, and stakeholders to achieve seamless project execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives and internal stakeholders, facilitating strategic discussions to ensure alignment on project vision and goals.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Proactively identify risks and opportunities, proposing strategic actions to mitigate challenges and capitalize on potential business growth areas.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize advanced project management tools and methodologies to continuously monitor project performance, optimizing processes for improved efficiency and outcomes.
  • Scalable Solutions Development: Ensure the development of scalable and sustainable e-commerce solutions that can evolve with the client's business needs and technological advancements.
  • Strategic Reporting and Communication: Deliver clear, insightful, and actionable reports to senior client leadership, providing strategic recommendations based on project data and analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Solid academic foundation in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Consulting Background: Previous experience with a Big 4, MBB, or similar technology consulting firm is highly preferred.
  • Relevant Technology Experience: Proven track record as an Engagement Manager in technology-driven projects (such as ERP, digital technologies, low-code platforms, and more). Experience with Shopify and other e-commerce platforms is highly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding and advanced knowledge of at least one core technology or industry sector.
  • Distributed Team Leadership: Experience managing projects with distributed or remote teams, ensuring seamless coordination across geographies.
  • SDLC and Implementation Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and practical experience with various implementation methodologies.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both client-facing and internal teams.
  • Leadership and Management: Demonstrated ability to manage both tasks and teams, driving performance and achieving project goals.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Project Management Certification: PMP or other recognized Project Management certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

  • Effective Leadership of Diverse Teams: Excel in leading and synergizing a diverse team consisting of operations professionals (e.g., business analysts, project managers, and scrum masters) and tech professionals (e.g., developers, onshore and offshore).
  • Client Satisfaction and Retention: Achieve high levels of client satisfaction, fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders and repeat business.
  • Team Performance and Development: Build a high-performing team focusing on continuous learning and development.
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline processes and workflows to achieve operational excellence.
  • Comprehensive Documentation for Senior Client Reporting: Develop thorough documentation tailored for senior client reporting, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and comprehensive coverage of project progress and outcomes.
  • Direct Contribution to Key Deliverables: When needed, create critical project deliverables through direct involvement in essential tasks (such as creating detailed scoping documents).

  • Case Interview: A one-hour interviewer-led case where you'll be walked through an actual client situation to assess your problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • WHO Interview: An in-person interview at our office, focusing on diving deeper into your past experiences and understanding how they align with our values and expectations.
  • References: We will ask for 2-3 professional references to gain more insights into your work ethic, collaboration, and overall performance.
