About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at Northbridge Financial Corporation. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in providing complete solutions for Canadian small businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a wide range of broker partners to get a holistic picture of each risk and make underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties.
  • Utilize strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development for less experienced underwriters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the property and casualty industry.
  • Completed, or pursuing, the CIP designation.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Team-first mentality.
  • Small Business experience is a plus.
