Job Title: Partnership Development Coordinator

MLSE is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Partnership Development Coordinator to join our Global Partnerships team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Partnership Development team with various activities related to marketing, research, business development, and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Partnership Development team in various partnership sales conversations, helping brands move through the pipeline process.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the marketplace to identify new, emerging, and available categories across each team property, with a focus on fostering opportunities for growth and collaboration.
  • Develop a variety of partnership development materials, including creative presentations, detailed partnership proposals, overviews, and summary slides.
  • Coordinate and support client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences with a focus on creating welcoming and inclusive experiences.
  • Identify key active and established brands to help the Partnership Development Team drive further conversations for prospective partners.
  • Support the Partnership Development Team through researching industry best practices, sourcing prospective marketing partners, and sharing client news.
  • Foster strong connections within the Partnership Development Team and Global Partnerships Department by collaborating with peers, sharing industry insights, and staying updated on marketing mix opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the partnership development process, both within the MLSE Global Partnerships team and more broadly across the company, creating advocates for new partnerships and unlocking new opportunities.
  • Provide the Partnership Development Team with an overview of new opportunities or different organizational priorities for potential monetization with key prospects.
  • Ensure that all annual revenue targets, across each team, property, and ancillary events, are met or exceeded.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sponsorship/partnership development, partnership marketing, sales, and/or service relationships is preferred.
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in sports business.
  • Enthusiastic about personal growth and development through learning from colleagues across the organization.
  • Open to both giving and receiving coaching, with the courage to take risks and learn from the outcomes.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A positive, team-first approach, incorporating integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Keen interest in partnership development and monetization of sports marketing properties.
  • Willing to challenge the current status quo/established norms.
  • A self-starter with a professional demeanor and presence.
  • Alert and receptive to shifting demands within a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Confident and adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Skillful at listening, understanding, and presenting detail.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the need arises.
  • Confident user of Microsoft 360 - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Salesforce knowledge would be an asset.
