Job Description

At Royal Bank of Canada, we're seeking an experienced Technical System Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team in Toronto. This role is critical in ensuring the stability and availability of our Investor Services EDM platform, which will provide market securities and pricing data to our clients.

This is a full-time salaried position with 37.5 hours per week, offering flexible work/life balance options and opportunities to do challenging work. The ideal candidate will have experience in a production support environment, good working knowledge of ServiceNow, and strong problem-solving skills. They must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate complex ideas simply.

The successful candidate will also possess a strong understanding of monitoring tools, data transfer methodologies, APIs, web services, and Unix/Linux scripting. Experience with DEVOPS tools, SQL/Oracle/PL, and Stone branch is highly desirable. We thrive on progressive thinking, collaboration, and delivering trusted advice to help our clients succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with business teams, technology, application support teams, peers, and vendors.
  • Develop long-term trusted relationships with stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents within established response and resolution times.
  • Track incidents, changes, and service requests via Service Now.
  • Create and review monitoring alerts for early issue detection.
  • Participate in release management, deployment activities, and DR exercises.
  • Perform technical PIV tasks following deployment activities.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in a production support environment.
  • Good working knowledge of ServiceNow.

  • Prioritization and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience.
