About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Architect to join our team at Parkbridge, a leading developer and manager of residential communities and recreational RV resort communities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping us achieve optimal outcomes from technology and design decisions.

Job Description

The Enterprise Data Architect will work closely with various business and IT clients to provide assessments, designs, and advice as necessary. This includes working with third-party vendors to extract necessary information and advocate for changes where needed. The role requires experience with fully cloud-based data architectures, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure solutions such as Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Fabric.

The ideal candidate will have a customer-obsessed, delivery mindset and be responsible for helping mature QuadReal's data-based AI capabilities. They will also support the Director, Enterprise Architecture in unlocking value through data-driven explainability.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality data-related architecture services to stakeholders, including future-state architecture designs, product assessments, technical summaries, and roadmaps.
  • Perform technical analysis of vendor offerings related to data strategy and convey assessments to stakeholders in business terms, including risks, impacts, and mitigating strategies.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with various stakeholder groups across the business and IT functions.
  • Ensure effective communication of expectations, timelines, scope, and other aspects for deliverables to stakeholders.
  • Ensure architecture standards and guidelines are consistently followed by projects.
  • Develop and maintain relevant architecture designs and artefacts, ensuring they are reviewed and approved by projects.
  • Ensure appropriate hand-off of solutions to operations and update relevant documentation as necessary.
  • Keep architecture-related templates, guidelines, and deliverables up-to-date.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to maintain knowledge of prevalent and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in modernizing and maintaining EA communication channels and collaboration workspaces.
  • Contribute to the innovation process, including idea generation, capture, triage, prioritization, and delivery.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Data Architecture experience in a modern, secure, and highly integrated cloud-based solutions environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling principles and methodologies to ensure data models are efficient, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Synapse, Fabric, Data Factory) and base Azure services would be beneficial.
  • Functional proficiency with PowerShell, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Apache Spark, SQL, or similar for execution of proof-of-concepts.
  • Experience with AI/Machine learning products (Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI Service, Mistral, etc).
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively balance multiple stakeholder expectations, contribute to a team of experienced technical specialists in a dynamic, time-sensitive, and fluid environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver to a plan, including reporting on delivery and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, high-trust relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, colleagues in IT, and partners.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar data architecture role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Experience with cloud-based SaaS and PaaS technologies and systems used for real estate investment, development, and management would be beneficial.
  • Azure data-related certifications are an asset.
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
