About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Booking & Registration Clerk to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and registering patients for clinic visits, as well as performing various administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the Heart Health Clinic & Diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and register patients for clinic visits, ensuring accurate and timely communication
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Assist with the coordination of patient flow and efficiency in the clinical area
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus one year of related experience or a recognized secretarial/office administration/business program
  • Prior experience in booking and registration using PHS and STAR
  • Medical terminology required; Cardiology specific medical terminology preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and email
  • Typing speed of 60wpm preferred
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced ambulatory care setting
  • Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset
