Site Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Inspector to join our Land Development and Municipal Engineering Team in Kingston. As a Site Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring Quality Assurance on municipal engineering and land development projects. This role involves field inspections, surveying, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough field inspections to ensure compliance with contract specifications and municipal regulations
- Prepare detailed progress reports and documentation to support quality assurance
- Collaborate with contractors, internal staff, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Identify and address potential issues or defects to ensure project quality and safety
- Graduated from a three-year college program in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Eligible to obtain Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation or interested in obtaining C.E.T. designation
- Minimum of five years of experience in construction inspection and management, with knowledge of City of Kingston Design Standards and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction inspection and management principles, practices, and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
