We are seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to maintain and implement our company's Health and Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with all governing bodies and promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and implement the Health and Safety Management System, ensuring all safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Advise managers and employees on safe work standards, practices, and regulations.
  • Evaluate work activities for potential hazards and ensure adequate controls are in place.
  • Support the development and implementation of Joint Work Site Health & Safety Committees.
  • Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and field audits.
  • Review and assess workplace hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and conduct safety training sessions for employees.
  • Investigate incidents and identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits of our Health and Safety Management System.
  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and foster a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Working towards or completion of a recognized OH&S certificate program.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR level C Certificate.
  • Minimum 2+ years of HSE experience.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
