Omega AS is a major player in the utility industry, and we are currently seeking a skilled Commercial Controller to join our team in St. John's, NL.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree, diploma, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in accounting and/or cost control. They should also be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel software and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).

As a Commercial Controller, you will be responsible for completing financial, technical, and commercial attestation of Contractor payment applications and invoices, as well as coordinating with Contract Administrators to review and resolve billing issues. You will also maintain a register of payment applications and invoices, ensuring processing and payment terms and conditions are satisfied.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. The duration of the assignment is 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete financial, technical, and commercial attestation of Contractor payment applications and invoices;
  • Coordinate with Contract Administrators to review and resolve billing issues;
  • Maintain a register of payment applications and invoices to track the review and approval process;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Major Projects, Commercial.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
  • Experience in accounting and/or cost control;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel software;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
