Job Title: Construction Estimator

Rafat General Contracting is seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing and managing construction estimates for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage construction estimates for projects, including quantity takeoffs, material costs, labor costs, and equipment costs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site superintendents to ensure estimates are accurate and meet project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project conditions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications, such as Certified Estimator (CE) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
  • Experience with project management software and technology.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
