Financial Operations Lead

At Meridia Recruitment Solutions, we are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Financial Operations Lead for our esteemed client in Dartmouth, NS.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be approximately $120,000-$180,000, commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A CPA designation and 10+ years of experience in a progressive management role.
  2. Experience with change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  3. Solid track record in process redesign to achieve greater efficiency/effectiveness while maintaining internal controls.
  4. Highly motivated, with proven success in a deadline-driven environment.

About the Role:

The Financial Operations Lead will be responsible for leading the financial operations team, providing strategic guidance and mentorship to ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful financial reporting to stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience with system implementation, process improvement, and leadership development. They will also be skilled at working with external auditors, managing cash flow projections, and developing and implementing change management initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions.
  • Champion the use of systems and technology to improve efficiency and timeliness of routine accounting.
  • Ensure roles and responsibilities are well defined, with clear accountabilities and goals.
  • Lead the annual audit and tax return preparation processes.
  • Continually evaluate and monitor internal controls to develop and implement enhancements.
  • Develop forecasts of operating results and capital spend.
