About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a seasoned finance professional to fill the role of Manager, Budget and Forecast Consolidation. This position is responsible for the development of the annual operating budget, the consolidation of the annual operational forecast on a monthly basis, and the development of a multi-year operating forecast for the organization.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial analysis and the ability to design and work with complex budget and forecasting models. The successful candidate will lead process improvements within the budgeting and forecasting work of the Finance team and collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve strategic and operational goals.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in financial analysis and budgeting, with a strong understanding of SAP or other large ERP financial systems. They will also possess excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the annual operating budget and consolidate the annual operational forecast on a monthly basis
  • Develop a multi-year operating forecast for the organization
  • Lead process improvements within the budgeting and forecasting work of the Finance team
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve strategic and operational goals

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline
  • Minimum of five years' experience in financial analysis and budgeting
  • Strong understanding of SAP or other large ERP financial systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
