The Financial Manager - Budget Consolidation Specialist is a key role within the Finance team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. This position is responsible for the development of the annual operating budget, as well as the consolidation of the annual operational forecast on a monthly basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, with experience in designing and working with complex budget and forecasting models. This role will lead process improvements within the budgeting and forecasting work of the Finance team, and will work closely with operational leaders and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of budget and forecasting initiatives.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial professional to fill this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. They will also have experience with SAP or other large ERP financial systems, as well as a strong understanding of healthcare issues.

Responsibilities
  • Develop the annual operating budget and consolidate the annual operational forecast on a monthly basis
  • Lead process improvements within the budgeting and forecasting work of the Finance team
  • Work closely with operational leaders and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of budget and forecasting initiatives
  • Develop and maintain complex budget and forecasting models
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline required
  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial analysis and budgeting
  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP financial systems
  • Strong understanding of healthcare issues
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
