Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician Student to join our team at Lawtons. As a Pharmacy Technician Student, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in dispensing medications and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions
  • Operate a VBM machine to automate blister card preparation and prescription vials
  • Use computer systems to generate stock lists and labels, and order supplies and drugs
  • Maintain and count inventory, and receive, load, and unload deliveries
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide information on medications and pharmacy services
  • Prepare, pre-pack, assemble, and label medicines, and perform general cleaning and housekeeping tasks
  • Refer problems or queries to the pharmacist, and perform additional duties as needed
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a Registered Pharmacy Technician program
  • Experience with Sobeys National Pharmacy Group computer systems, with a comfort level working with Kroll software preferred
  • Above-average communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as collaborate within a team
