Pharmacy Technician Student Opportunity

Sobeys Inc., a leading Canadian company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Student to join our team at Central Fill Pharmacy in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician Student to assist with blister packing using a VBM machine, maintain inventory, and perform various tasks to support our dispensary team. As a Pharmacy Technician Student, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our company, working in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with blister packing using a VBM machine
  • Maintain and count inventory
  • Perform various tasks to support the dispensary team
  • Use computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
  • Order supplies and drugs
  • Answer questions by phone
  • Prepare, pre-pack, assemble, and label medicines
  • General cleaning and housekeeping
  • Refer problems or queries to the pharmacist
Requirements
  • Enrolled to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician
  • Experience with Sobeys National Pharmacy Group Computer systems, comfort level working with Kroll software is preferred
  • Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as collaborate within a team
