We are seeking skilled Emergency Medicine physicians to provide shift coverage in community hospitals within the Western Zone of Nova Scotia. To be successful in this role, you will require up-to-date ACLS and PALS certifications, with ATLS being a preferred qualification. Additionally, there is an opportunity to participate in teaching medical students and family practice residents from Dalhousie Medical School.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Emergency Medicine physician, your duties will include providing full scope of practice care to patients within the zone. You will be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Emergency Medicine for your professional responsibilities and quality of practice, and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Expected HoursMultiple opportunities exist for full-time, part-time, and locum positions.
Qualifications- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for family physicians
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) for specialists
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Current PALS Certification
- Current ATLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification (preferred)
