Human Resources Manager

We are a leading provider of material handling equipment and industrial storage solutions in western Canada, with over 40 years of experience. Our innovative product lines and top-notch service set us apart from the competition.

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to support our Alberta and BC operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing employee relations, injury management, leading our safety program, providing legal counsel to our employees and leaders, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.

Responsibilities
  • Manage employee relations, including performance management, discipline, and termination
  • Lead our safety program, including conducting site tours, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with COR requirements
  • Manage injury management, including investigating accidents and incidents, managing WCB accounts, and ensuring compliance with LTD and medical claims
  • Provide legal counsel to employees and leaders, including interpreting legislation and advising on employee-employer relations
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including attending safety meetings, managing HR duties, and performing periodic travel to Calgary and Vancouver branches
Requirements
  • HR professional with at least 7+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration/Human Resources is required
  • Exposure to the forklift industry (or similar) would be considered an asset
  • Must be available to work on site

Expected Annual Salary: $110k-$135k
