Restaurant Manager Job Description

As a Restaurant Manager at Gusto Caledon, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our dining establishment. Your primary duties will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet and engage customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Operations Management: Manage a fast-paced, busy dining area and kitchen, ensuring efficient order-taking, packaging, and service.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Closing Duties: Take a hands-on approach to closing duties, including thorough cleaning and preparation for the next day.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks such as creating weekly schedules and managing employee timetables.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house dynamics.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
