Key Responsibilities:
- Hiring and Training: Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
- Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque and manage store finances to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
- Merchandise Management: Order merchandise and authorize the return of merchandise to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and meet business needs.
- Sales and Customer Service: Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize losses.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure efficient and effective store operations.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Store Operations: Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure seamless store operations.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail store environment.
- Language: English.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
