About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a skilled Professional Practice Leader to facilitate excellence in quality person-centered care and practice. The successful candidate will integrate various services to support and enhance professional practice, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

The Professional Practice Leader will work closely with the Northern Zone Director, Interprofessional Practice and Learning, to promote evidence-based practice, clinical leadership, and inter/intra-professional collaboration. This role will serve as a consultant to the organization, addressing professional practice issues at individual, team, program, and system levels.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's level health profession education, active practicing licensure, and a minimum of five years' clinical experience in a related health professional discipline. They will also have progressive leadership experience, with a strong background in planning and delivering competency-based education and clinical learning programs.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can lead and manage organizational change, and complex work. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret program evaluation data to inform quality and performance indicators and benchmarks.

They will also possess the ability to manage conflict and foster conflict management strategies, as well as exercise discretion and confidentiality in terms of employee sensitive information. A valid driver's license and access to transportation are required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate excellence in quality person-centered care and practice

Requirements

  • Master's level health profession education
  • Active practicing licensure
  • Minimum of five years' clinical experience in a related health professional discipline
  • Progressive leadership experience
  • Strong background in planning and delivering competency-based education and clinical learning programs
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to interpret program evaluation data to inform quality and performance indicators and benchmarks

Compensation and Benefits

$45.45 - $60.40 hourly
$88,629 - $117,761 annually
