Key Responsibilities

As a Lumber Take-Off Estimator at Tech-Wood Building Components Ltd., you will be responsible for:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and building codes for residential and multi-family projects
  • Estimating lumber and material quantities for construction projects
  • Generating accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates using software tools
  • Communicating with engineers, architects, and contractors regarding project details
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with coworkers and clients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A technical diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • Work experience in the lumber or construction materials industry
  • Knowledge of construction processes and materials related to wood-framed construction
  • Understanding of local building codes and construction practices
