Your Role: Lumber Take-Off Estimator– reporting to our VP Sales & Design


What You Bring:

·        Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and building codes related to residential, and multi- family projects.

·        Ability to examine drawings and blueprints for intent, conformity, and error.

·        Estimate the quantity and types of lumber and related materials needed for various construction projects.

·        Produce accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for lumber and related materials using appropriate software tools.

·        Generate quotes quickly, efficiently, and accurately for customers.

·        Exceptional customer service attitude to maintain excellent client interaction.

·        Communicate with engineers, architects, and contractors regarding project details before and during construction.

·        Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers.

·        Demonstrated skills working in a team environment.

·        Proven ability to meet deadlines.

·        Attend and participate in company-sponsored training programs as required.


Qualifications:

·        Technical diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field – preferred.

·        Work experience in the lumber or construction materials industry.

·        Knowledge of construction processes and materials related to single-family, multi-family, and light commercial wood-framed construction.

·        Understanding of local building codes and construction practices
