We pride ourselves on our interactive and supportive work environment, where we rally together to achieve corporate success while enjoying every moment along the way.Your Role: Lumber Take-Off Estimator– reporting to our VP Sales & DesignWhat You Bring:· Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and building codes related to residential, and multi- family projects.· Ability to examine drawings and blueprints for intent, conformity, and error.· Estimate the quantity and types of lumber and related materials needed for various construction projects.· Produce accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for lumber and related materials using appropriate software tools.· Generate quotes quickly, efficiently, and accurately for customers.· Exceptional customer service attitude to maintain excellent client interaction.· Communicate with engineers, architects, and contractors regarding project details before and during construction.· Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers.· Demonstrated skills working in a team environment.· Proven ability to meet deadlines.· Attend and participate in company-sponsored training programs as required.Qualifications:· Technical diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field – preferred.· Work experience in the lumber or construction materials industry.· Knowledge of construction processes and materials related to single-family, multi-family, and light commercial wood-framed construction.· Understanding of local building codes and construction practicesWhat We Bring:· Competitive Salary (based on experience)· Group Benefits (after 3 months of probation)· Vacation time· Free on-site parking· Casual dress code· Company events · Fast-paced, fun and collaborative work environment· A team that is invested in YOU – professionally and personallyPlease note: While we sincerely appreciate all applications, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
