About The Labrador Inn

We are a reputable hotel and resort seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings
    • Source high-quality ingredients and supplies to maintain our high standards
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective service
    • Mentor and develop junior chefs to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and optimize stock
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Cleanliness and Safety
    • Ensure all kitchen areas are clean and well-maintained to meet health and safety standards
    • Implement and enforce strict food safety and handling procedures
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Work Setting
    • Hotel, motel, resort
