Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

Holcim is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to support the development of operational processes, policies, and training requirements related to health and safety. As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that appropriate safety practices are in place to prevent incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site safety leadership and guidance to operational teams
  • Collaborate with management teams to implement and improve safety processes and systems
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with site managers and regulatory agencies
  • Participate in the execution and dissemination of safety programs
  • Assist in the development of safe work processes and procedures
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to operational teams
  • Collect and analyze safety performance data to inform risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with site management on safety systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

Educational Background:

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in safety or a related field
  • Bilingual in French and English

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in various computer applications and software
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
