Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Community College.
Responsibilities
- Manage budgets and trial balances, create promotional materials, process payments and receipts, maintain our website, coordinate workshop room bookings, oversee center resources, and track resource loans.
- Answer phones and provide related information, perform clerical duties, and handle administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Administrative Professional/Office Administration, or equivalent experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- Two years' recent and related experience in an office environment, or a recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant administrative experience.
- Occupational experience in early childhood education, customer service, or operating Point of Sale systems is an asset.
- Familiarity with computer applications, such as the Microsoft Office Suite, and a commitment to using technology in advancing work.
- Experience in training and facilitation preparation, supporting students, and providing customer service is an asset.
