A Senior Estate Planning and Wealth Management Expert at National Bank Financial (NBF) will play a key role in supporting high-net-worth clients and Investment Advisors (IAs) with their estate planning needs. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality expertise and services, this position involves providing general or specific information to clients and IAs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting client interviews, establishing trust relationships, and drafting detailed estate planning recommendations tailored to each client's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support NBF clients and IAs in estate planning by providing general or specific information.
  • Conduct client interviews and establish trust relationships to understand their estate planning needs.
  • Draft detailed estate planning recommendations tailored to each high-net-worth client's needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues (financial and estate planners) to support the region's IAs and clients in estate planning.
  • Manage several complex cases with tight deadlines in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions on estate planning to investment advisors.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities for all services and products offered by National Bank Financial.
  • Stay at the forefront of new developments in your field to determine the directions to follow to continue evolving processes, systems, and methods in a perspective of continuous improvement.

Prerequisites:

  • Member of the Barreau or of the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of estate planning concepts, including succession law, trusts, and administration of the property of others.
  • Significant experience in an expert advisory role.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships with various types of professionals (investment advisors, internal and external tax specialists, financial planners, etc.).
  • Skills in simplifying complex information.
  • Listening skills necessary for understanding clients' sensitive issues.
  • Availability for travel to NBF offices.

Assets:

  • Experience/master degree in taxation.
  • Knowledge of insurance strategies.
  • Knowledge of wealth management.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
