About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Host/Hostess to join our team at Home and Away Calgary. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and motivate our front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Manage Guest Interactions: Greet and seat guests, handle reservations, and respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Coordinate Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the front-of-house, including scheduling, inventory management, and supply ordering.
  • Enforce Health and Safety Regulations: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed, and that the dining area is clean and well-maintained.
  • Develop and Implement Procedures: Create and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of hosts/hostesses to provide exceptional guest service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Certifications: ProServe program certification.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
