Job Summary

Coast Mental Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Psychiatric Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide a broad range of nursing functions and direct care to individuals with complex needs related to psychiatric disability, addiction, and past trauma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric and physical assessments, crisis interventions, and medication administration
  • Implement trauma-informed care and psychosocial rehabilitation principles
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Establish and maintain rapport with clients and their families

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses and ability to maintain full practicing license with the BCCNM
  • Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License
  • Ability to provide/obtain the following upon hire: First Aid Certificate, Criminal Records Clearance, Tuberculosis Clearance, Immunization Records, WHMIS Certificate
