Project Manager Expert with IT Experience

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead small to medium-sized projects at Finance Professionals Inc. Based in Toronto, this role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in project management, IT, and leadership skills.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have 8-10 years of experience managing projects from start to finish, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget. You will be responsible for overseeing project scope, requirements changes, and multiple demands while determining the impact on budget, time, and risk using fact-based metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project scope/requirements changes, multiple and competing demands, and priorities
  • Determine and convey the impact on budget, time, and risk using appropriate fact-based metrics/assumptions
  • Provide consulting and guidance on project initiatives, including business case preparation and developing creative approaches to problem resolution
  • Document and supervise project closure initiatives, such as client satisfaction surveys and closure analysis
  • Manage ongoing communication of project status, completing weekly or monthly Project Status Reports, and escalating issues to stakeholders, sponsors, steering committees, and senior management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Advanced proficiency with all MS Office applications, MS Project, and/or Visio
  • Experience with CMS or full-stack web development (an asset)
  • Experience with DotCMS (backend of a website) (an asset)
  • 8-10 years of experience managing small to medium-sized projects
  • Experience following project management best practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics
  • Ability to develop project plans and manage individual deadlines and goals through diligent and consistent follow-up
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions, and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis
  • PMP certification (an asset)
  • Asset Management background (an asset)
  • Bachelor's degree
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
