Human Resources Manager

Job Summary
As an HR Manager at CRH, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources, including recruiting, employee training and development, employee relations, and talent management. This role requires a strong partnership with local Management, Regional HR Director, and Company President to drive both tactical and strategic HR initiatives across our manufacturing locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Develop and implement people practices to promote positive working relationships, ensuring a fair and inclusive work environment.
- Onboarding: Ensure new hires have a comprehensive understanding of company policies and benefits, facilitating a smooth transition into their roles.
- Recruiting: Collaborate with local and national recruiting teams to develop and implement workforce planning and development strategies, supporting succession programs and talent management initiatives.
- Retention: Analyze and implement competitive salary and benefit programs to ensure employee satisfaction and retention, working closely with leadership to conduct employee performance reviews.
- Training and Coaching: Design and deliver regional training programs to ensure training standards are met, fostering a coaching culture across all locations and developing strong present and future leadership talent within the organization.
- People Development: Partner with Managers, Regional HR Director, and Company President to develop and implement people development initiatives, driving organizational effectiveness and ensuring consistent processes across all locations.
- Employment Practices: Ensure effective and consistent compliance management processes and procedures are in place, investigating employee relations issues and concerns.
- Organizational Effectiveness: Drive the HR Review process, ensuring consistent processes and procedures are implemented across all locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business or Human Resources.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with professional certification a plus.
- Experience in multi-site operations, including unionized operations, with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Strong internal customer focus and collaborative style, with high-level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and proven organization and time management abilities.
