As an Automotive Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring vehicles are repaired and maintained to the highest standards, while providing accurate repair recommendations to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance work as outlined on the repair order, meeting dealership and OEM standards;
  • Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production/repairs, cycle times, and customer communication;
  • Conduct multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations for repairs, ensuring safety and reliability of vehicles before returning them to customers;
  • Document all work performed on the vehicle repair order, following OEM standards, and ensure payment of warranty work from manufacturers;
  • Maintain an inventory of common automotive technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department;
  • Stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as required;
  • Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.
Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years of Automotive Service Technician Experience;
  • A provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process;
  • Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset;
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses;
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic;
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team;
  • High level of integrity and work ethic;
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving history;
  • Able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
