Theatre Operations Manager

About the Role:
The Theatre Manager position at Landmark Cinemas is a key leadership role that oversees the day-to-day operations of our theatres. As a seasoned professional in the Guest Service or Retail industry, you will be responsible for managing labour costs, cost of sales, revenue control, and Guest satisfaction, among other key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Management team to effectively manage theatre operations, including labour cost, cost of sales, revenue control, speed of service, and Guest satisfaction.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the food service department, focusing on revenue generation, effective scheduling, equipment maintenance, and Guest satisfaction.
- Execute all food service programs at theatre-level, including training and coaching of frontline cast, and providing management peer guidance and direction.
- Create engaging Cast incentives to promote sales initiatives and drive business results.
- Accountable for inventory management, including ordering and maintaining stock levels, controlling expenditures, and minimizing shrink/waste.
- Communicate effectively with Management teams, including the General Manager and In-Theatre Sales Department, through regular meetings and communication tools.
- Engage with Guests and make them feel special, helping to enrich their lives through the power of movies.
- Be available and visible to Cast and Guests, observing and assisting with any potential issues.
- Provide consistent performance feedback to all levels of Cast and address performance issues in a timely manner.
- Work safely and ensure all levels of Cast are aware of and follow work safe practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years related experience in a leadership role in the Guest Service or Retail industry.
- Completion of a post-secondary school program with a focus on business acumen, hospitality, entertainment, and food service management is considered an asset.
- Proven track record in managing/leading food service business, with knowledge of food production, food safety, merchandising, food service sales, revenue, and inventory control procedures.
- Prior experience with projection or audio-visual equipment is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with food production, revenue control procedures, and related systems is considered an asset.
