Your Opportunity:

As the temporary Site Lead Pharmacist within the Alberta Health Services Pharmacy Team, you will have the chance to deliver exceptional direct patient care. Role Overview:

As a Pharmacist I, your responsibilities will include the safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will oversee medication therapy management for patients, both at the outset and on an ongoing basis. Additionally, you will provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug-related issues, as well as supervise activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the relevant pharmacy regulatory body.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Additional Prescribing Authorization from the appropriate regulatory authority would be advantageous for this role. Successful candidates who do not possess this authorization will be expected to obtain it within a specified timeframe, contingent on eligibility. Experience in a hospital setting or in direct patient care providing comprehensive medication management services is essential. Recent experience as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team is also required. Familiarity with computerized medication order entry and various drug distribution systems, such as unit dose, is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated commitment to self-directed learning and ongoing education. Proven time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, along with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, are essential. Self-motivated individuals who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment are preferred.
